our guests testimonials

My wife and I stayed at Les Rizieres for 3 nights as part of our honeymoon in Lombok, and all the good reviews did not fail us! We were greeted at the gate by our hosts, staff and their three lovely dogs. The staff had even created a little floral decoration archway to mark our honeymoon!

Our room was cosy, and we had access to our own bathroom. The room did not have AC (instead had a fan), but we did not need it as the temperature was much cooler than where we stayed in southern Lombok. The bamboo deck overlooking the rice fields was stunning - we could have spent half the day looking at this view!

All of the staff were so friendly and approachable, and they were happy to share their stories and have a chat. The staff did the waiting, cooking and they were our tour guides during the day. We had a good time trekking through the rice fields, visiting waterfalls and visiting local markets (for our cooking lesson!). Just keep in mind that the day trek is quite long (about 10am-5pm) so be prepared for a day of walking. (One of their dogs - Madu accompanied us on your trek, which was delightful). We would also strongly recommend local coffee making and a visit to Nature School.

They also took us to have lunch with a local Sasak family where they welcomed us, and fed us heaps and heaps of delicious local food. We sat on the outside porch just rubbing our bellies afterwards while the host lady wove us rings out of flax (highlight of the trip - and much recommended)

All in all, Les Rizieres was such a beautiful place to stay in, we’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tetebatu.

Lovely Homestay! - Sonny, (Australia)

Loved it.

Katie and Thomas are great hosts.

The accommodation are well set out, the terrace where you can relax and enjoy the view over the Rinjani is amazing. Really friendly staff. The food is good. And the dogs are so cute.

They also help with anything you need. Can organise trips anywhere at reasonable prices. We had a traditional Sasak lunch at friends of them, we did a one day hike seeing rice fields, waterfalls (loved it), the Monkey forrest and coffee making process with a nice guide. They also organized a one day trip to Gili Kondo and Gili Bidara for us.

The guys also hiked the Rinjani from their place and it was well organized.

You will be glad you stayed.
